Are there any who manufacture chemical processing equipment? Do you know anything about the cost of equipment? How is the cost generally calculated? For example, when customizing a chemical reactor, what costs are involved, and how are these costs calculated? I only know about material costs, shipping fees, and VAT for now; how are the other expenses calculated?
There are also management fees and production costs, right?
The equipment quote includes the cost of materials, labor costs, shipping fees, and taxes. The cost of materials is calculated separately for different items such as steel plates, flange forgings, and connectors. Labor costs are determined based on the actual material consumption within the factory as well as other management expenses. After all these costs have been accounted for, your profit margin is added to the total amount, resulting in the basic price of the equipment.
Cost or quote? The cost of a glass-lined reactor generally includes design fees, material costs (such as steel blanks, end caps, high-neck flanges, flanges, etc.), components for mixing and baffling, temperature measurement tubes, insertion tubes (depending on the configuration), mechanical seals (single-end or double-end type, dry-lubricated or oil/water-cooled), the frame, motor, labor costs (including processing of steel blanks, welding, grinding, flaw detection, sintering, painting, etc.), glass lining enamel, pre-assembly costs, warehouse storage fees, shipping costs, fees for on-site installation guidance or actual on-site installation, and invoicing costs.
Material costs, manufacturing costs, and transportation costs are all that’s needed. For ordinary stainless steel, a manufacturing cost of 10,000 per ton is sufficient; for ordinary carbon steel, 6,000 per ton is enough, including 17% tax
The price includes material costs, manufacturing costs, as well as administrative expenses, profits, shipping fees, taxes, etc. The material costs cover the main materials (such as sheets, pipes, flanges, etc.), while auxiliary materials account for a smaller proportion (such as welding materials and cutting materials). Manufacturing costs refer to the expenses incurred in processing within the factory, plus administrative costs (including the amortization and depreciation of fixed assets such as equipment and buildings), along with profits. The final total price includes VAT plus shipping cost, and that’s it.
