1. Before starting the compressor, does whether it is in the suction or discharge mode have an impact on nitrogen displacement?
Before the compressor starts up, why are there still suction and exhaust stages? I don’t understand it

The compressor cannot be started under load; therefore, it is necessary to release pressure before starting it. How can nitrogen be pushed in to displace it when it’s in a closed state?
In simple terms: 1. When starting the compressor, it should not be under load; close all inlet and outlet valves, open the circuit valve, open the vent valve, and open the cooling water valve, then start the oil pressure pump. 2. After startup, open the nitrogen displacement valve, and carry out displacement through the circuit, vent, and drain valves; close the drain valve once displacement is complete. 3. Open the outlet valve to send the fluid to the next stage, gradually close the circuit, and proceed with displacement for the next stage until all stages have been displaced. 4. Slowly open the outlet valve of the final stage to displace the pipes and other containers or equipment that require displacement
It seems you don’t know the structure of the compressor cylinder; take a look at the drawings. You can just replace it directly; you don’t need to worry about the position.
