The coke produced by ramming process generates coke oven gas, which, after desulfurization, enters the methanol section for atmospheric pressure filtration and storage in gas tanks. Our facility has been in operation for 2 years, and now we have found an excessive amount of crystalline naphthalene in the coke press, which causes severe blockages in the gas coolers and prevents normal production. I wonder if there are any effective methods to remove this crystalline naphthalene from the pipes in the upstream system without having to disassemble them. Our plant does not currently have any equipment for removing naphthalene, which is a real problem for us. Urgent, urgent, urgent.

Symptomatic treatment: Flash point 78.89°C, boiling point 217.9°C, melting point 80.5°C. Theoretically, it is possible to use steam to directly heat the pipe and melt it. But it is dangerous because the flash point is lower than the melting point. Address the root cause: identify the source. Additionally, the heat tracing mentioned upstairs is feasible
Our current solution is to use low-pressure steam directly at the inlet for steaming, but due to the high amount of naphthalene in the previous system, the temperature rises after a few days of operation, quickly reaching the alarm threshold.
