From general information, it is known that rotor pumps are more suitable for oils with higher viscosity. The rotor pump was chosen as the unloading pump for diesel, to draw oil from railway tank cars at a height of 2.8–3.5 m above the pump’s foundation surface. In actual use, the rotor pump experienced significant vibration and produced considerable noise; what is the reason for this? When starting the pump, open the inlet valve fully and open the outlet valve to 1/3 of its capacity; once the outlet pressure stabilizes, gradually increase the opening degree. The diameters of both the inlet and outlet pipes are 200.
I have never seen this situation; most rotor pumps I have seen are used in sucrose production plants, where the viscosity is high.
Why not use a sliding vane pump? ? The original poster should take a look; I think it can achieve the results you’re satisfied with
