Can a 15-meter-span truss tunnel be built with two floors? To ensure a road clearance height of 5 meters, what should be the elevation of the tops of these two layers of pipe galleries respectively?
There will be no problem with two-layer or three-layer designs. The height difference between the pipe rack layers depends on the diameter of the pipes; trusses generally do not have pipes extending outward, so this height difference can be kept low.
For the DN200 pipes in the lower layer, is a height difference of 500 mm from the upper layer too small? It is not convenient for construction and management
The top elevation of the two-layer pipe gallery shall be determined based on installation and maintenance requirements.
A 15-meter-span truss tunnel is estimated to require supports in the road median strip.
