However, too many people are engaged in a profession that is not their passion, or even goes against their preferences, which leads to aversion and has a negative impact on their health. I. Disliking your job can cause rapid weight gain. There is a close connection between being in a job that you hate and an increase in weight. Researchers believe that spending time every day worrying about something that makes one unhappy consumes a great deal of physical and mental energy, thereby reducing interest in exercise and affecting food choices. For example, spending a day outside and earning money through hard work, only to return home and choose a high-calorie dessert or ice cream as a way to relieve stress – this naturally leads to weight gain, creating a vicious cycle. II. Dislike for work increases mental stress. Long working hours and high work pressure are major factors that exacerbate our mental stress. However, upon closer analysis, we find that the reason people are unhappy at work is not due to a heavy workload. In fact, fulfilling work brings endless positive energy; one can feel happy even when the workload is heavy. And if one is forced to work in a career they dislike, to face an working environment they hate, and to force themselves to be associated with an environment that isn’t right for them, it is this negative energy that is truly deadly. III. Disliking your job can deteriorate your relationship with your partner. Being stuck in a job you hate not only fails to improve the situation at work, but it also has a serious impact on our daily lives, damaging our relationships with our partners and family members. Research has shown that those who are not satisfied with their work generally have lower satisfaction levels in their sexual lives, and their happiness index in family life is also below average. Data shows that men with good relationships with their partners live an average of 6 more years. IV. Disliking your work can **reduce** the quality of your sleep and weaken your immune system. Excessive negative energy can keep you awake all night; it’s not unusual to lie there staring at the ceiling with your eyes open until dawn. The impact of lack of sleep on the body’s immune function cannot be ignored. After a tiring day at work, if one still can’t get good sleep at night, it’s as though they have to work another long shift; how can the body withstand such stress? V. Dislike for work is one of the potential causes of serious diseases. A long-term study of 20,000 professional nurses showed that working in an unhappy environment for extended periods doubles their risk of developing serious diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. It is evident just how important it is to maintain a certain level of enthusiasm and positivity for our work in our lives. Most importantly, we should do the work that we enjoy. Let’s go, tomorrow!
