Hello, dear sea friends. I haven’t used the “ASCO solenoid valve NF8327B102 KVS 0.49, low power consumption, Exd 24VDC” before. This solenoid valve has positive and negative terminals; when connected according to these polarities, the valve fails to operate, with a voltage of only 6V. However, when the wiring is reversed, the voltage becomes normal at 24V. What could be the reason for this? I would also appreciate any advice from fellow sailors; thank you
Do solenoid valves have positive and negative poles? I haven’t seen it. . All I’ve seen are unseparated versions; in principle, there should be no distinction between positive and negative either, as it’s just a coil inside. .
I’ve really never seen a solenoid valve like this Aska one, with such sophisticated windings. It depends on what the structure inside is like.
No distinction between positive and negative? With some ASCO solenoids, if you don’t distinguish between positive and negative polarity, they won’t operate; what can you do about that?
If you classify them as positive or negative, then this is definitely not an ordinary electromagnetic valve. There must be other additional circuits inside as well. . Otherwise, the solenoid valve would just be an ordinary electromagnet with a single coil inside – how can there be a distinction between positive and negative poles?

But this is really strange; the voltage at the positive and negative poles, as indicated, is not sufficient. Have you encountered such a situation before?
Those with indicator lights must have positive and negative poles, right?
Are there any guide photos? Did you take a photo? I’ve had a lot of trouble with some of the pneumatic solenoids at ASCO. . . Deeply memorable
Electromagnetic valve wiring plugs are usually marked; if they are not marked, connect them arbitrarily without distinguishing between positive and negative.
