This post was last edited by I am kind on 2016-11-20 at 10:06. With 0.1–1% H2 in acrylic, what online monitoring equipment can be used to detect it? By detecting the propylene content, the backward error ratio increases. Do any marine enthusiasts have any online detection methods?
Those who come to study this – are there any instruments specifically designed for measuring hydrogen content?
There are tests for the purity of hydrogen, but please share any instruments used to detect hydrogen as a gas!

In the gas phase, there is an optical measurement method that offers high precision and fast response. I can recommend it to you. For the liquid phase, I’m not aware of any good testing methods.
For ordinary thermal conductivity hydrogen measurement, there are no major issues, but calibration is required before it leaves the factory. I just dealt with a unit for measuring hydrogen in natural gas in my previous project; it depends on whether high precision is required. For standard thermal conductivity hydrogen measurement, a range of 0-2% can be used, but the precision is within plus or minus 2%
Chromatography can be used directly; with a TCD detector and high-purity nitrogen as the carrier gas, it is entirely possible to detect hydrogen in propylene. It can also detect impurities below carbon 2.
