As a newcomer to sulfuric acid, I don’t yet have a very in-depth understanding of this basic chemical industry. As a moderator, I need to say something about some issues in the sulfuric acid section. I don’t want to see such a phenomenon. There isn’t much communication; there’s no interaction. Can everyone please be a bit more serious? Of course, my performance isn’t that outstanding either. Sulfuric acid production is not an independent process; it involves equipment, electrical systems, instruments, and so on. At present, the issues and problems related to the sulfuric acid sector are still relatively limited in scope. Some problems in production basically receive no help from anyone. It’s more practical to resolve things privately. The phenomenon of technological blockades is still quite severe. We wholeheartedly welcome visits and guidance from peers in the same industry; but when we go to other organizations, we’re shut out. I believe that knowledge doesn’t become less valuable just because it’s shared
It is an economic downturn that has led to a poor performance in the industry. It’s not just the sulfuric acid industry; many industries are in the same situation – things are difficult to handle, and doing business is even more challenging. For a long time now, the problem mentioned by the moderator has been identified. Since the specialties in HaiChuan are highly detailed, areas such as equipment, production, environmental protection, electrical appliances, instruments, etc. – for any inquiries related to these topics – are discussed in more specialized forums. I think the sulfuric acid edition wants to achieve something, and it requires the moderators to sacrifice some of their time, use their creativity, and carry out innovative activities to drive the development of this section.
There is too little communication within the industry. Sulfuric acid is widely used in basic chemical applications, and technological progress in this field is quite rapid.
There is not a lack of industry exchanges, but rather an excess of them, and this is one of the main reasons for overcapacity, resulting in difficulties for everyone. Now, we can only place our hopes on the Belt and Road Initiative.
