I would like to ask fellow sailors: can a Class C warehouse be converted into a Class A workshop?
It’s possible, but it involves high costs
After going through the legal procedures for design review, registration, and acceptance, as well as undergoing modifications to the fire protection facilities, the more difficult issue is the fire resistance rating, which makes such modifications challenging.
Class C warehouses can be considered suitable if their fire resistance rating is at level 2 or higher, and if the fire separation distances from surrounding areas meet the relevant fire safety requirements. It can be converted into a Class A workshop.
