The steam temperature of the 240-ton boiler with a circulating fluidized bed in our plant is extremely abnormal; when the load is increased, the steam temperature drops by about 500-510 degrees. Is there any way to raise the steam temperature?
Logically, an increase in load should lead to a rise in the main steam temperature, as the superheater is of the convective type; when the load increases, the flue gas flow rate also increases. Methods to raise the steam temperature include: 1. Increasing the load, based on the principle mentioned earlier. 2. Regularly cleaning the heating surfaces of the superheater and performing backwashing to ensure that both the inner and outer walls of these surfaces remain clean; if there is dust accumulation in the superheater or in the upstream flue ducts, it reduces the flue gas flow area. 3. Adjusting the combustion process by increasing the amount of return material, with the aim of raising the proportion of combustion in the upper part of the furnace, thereby increasing the temperature in that area and consequently the steam temperature at the inlet of the superheater. 4. Checking the steam-water separation elements inside the steam drum; it is essential to avoid operating the drum at high water levels in order to reduce or eliminate moisture in the saturated steam. 5. If the above measures are ineffective, contact the manufacturer to have the superheater modified in order to increase its heating surface area
