What types of media are suitable for measurement using orifice plate flow meters, and what are the requirements for their installation? Thank you!
If the pressure tapping is prone to clogging, it is recommended to replace it with a flange and use a capillary differential pressure transmitter (with a flushing ring if necessary)
Orifice plate flow meters can be used to measure gases and liquids, and they can be installed horizontally, vertically, or at an angle.
For this, we use plug-in double-flange type ones on site; the orifice plate is porous, has a certain length of its own, and is of the type with flanges connected at both ends.

If the orifice plate is prone to clogging, it is usually due to two issues. (1) The pressure tapping hole is too small, or the inner diameter of the pressure lead pipe is too small, falling below the specification requirements. For low-pressure systems, 1/2\" pressure tapping holes and DN15 pressure conduits are generally used. The high-pressure configuration typically uses 3/4" pressure tapping holes and DN20 pressure conduits. (2) The process medium is too dirty or contains impurities such as solid particles. It is recommended to replace the orifice plate with a component suitable for measurements under such operating conditions. For example, wedge flow meter (with remote transmission diaphragm-type connection flange)
