There is an oxygen orifice flow meter with an original range of 8000; after performing pressure stabilization compensation today, it was found that a symbol is displayed before the numerical value , and the value is also changing, but the rate of change is noticeably slow; after observing for a while, it can be seen that this value shows >7100? 7100. I checked the DCS as well, but no setting for 7100 was found there
Today’s inspection revealed that the transmitter had reached its full scale – it reached full scale at 7100, which was quite surprising. This signal passes through a safety barrier with one input and two outputs: one path leads to the DCS, and the other to the SIS. The SIS keeps showing normal status; I can’t figure it out
Regarding the SIS system, I’m not sure whether by \"normal\" you mean a display value greater than 7100 or something else. As far as I know, the SIS system generally allows values to exceed certain limits, but there are protective settings in place for some critical parameters to prevent such excesses.
The transmitter outputs 20mA at full scale; a two-way safety barrier distributes the 4-20mA signal to both the DCS and SIS. The SIS shows normal readings, while the DCS displays 7100, indicating that 20mA corresponds to the value of 7100. It was not found that 7100 was set; this value is likely to represent the amount of data to be migrated.
