I am designing a steam tracing system for a pipeline, and I have a question. Should a drain main be installed, arranged alongside the heat-tracing steam main, so that after all the heat-tracing pipes have heated the corresponding pipelines, the drainage is directed directly into this drain main, without the need for a condensate station?
This is how we do it, but those under different pressures need to be separated
Are you guys doing well? Where does the final hydrophobic main pipe lead to? Or directly closed?

We did the same when our heat tracing systems were small: a steam condensate return pipe was equipped with a steam trap or a flow-limiting orifice at its end, and then connected to the main steam trap line of the same pressure system. The hydrophobic main returns to the system at the end.
It’s the same with the small steam pipes in our company.
