May I ask if the test manifold is mandatory in pressure tests? Which standard specifies such requirements? Where should the safety valve, which is used to control overpressure in the absence of a buffer tank, be installed? ? ? ? Thank you so much.
This is required for equipment pressure testing; such a requirement is rarely imposed for pipeline pressure testing
Pipe pressure testing exists as well, but I’ve never seen any standards for it. In the projects I work on, there are requirements specified in the specifications from Hyundai of South Korea. Under normal circumstances, safety valves should be installed at the highest point of the system being tested ； If it is placed at a low point, the pressure generated by the hydrostatic head must be taken into account.
