I have a rather basic question: the alkali solution used in our company’s flue gas desulfurization system has a concentration of 30%. What is the typical concentration of the alkali solution produced using ion exchange membranes?

Is water used in the production process? And what kind of water is generally used?
Water is definitely used in the production process; electrolyzers require pure water (ion-free water), chlorine scrubbers use process water, eye wash stations employ domestic water, while the mechanical seals of pumps need process water and pure water,.....
Caustic soda produced by ion-exchange membrane electrolysis is generally 32% in concentration; it can also be evaporated and concentrated to 50% to form solid caustic soda. Some manufacturers produce liquid caustic soda with a concentration of around 30% or even lower, depending on their needs.
