Article 2 of 4.2.11 in the \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprise Buildings\" GB/T 50160-2008 (2018 edition) contains a provision regarding landscaping within the plant area: Hedges or dense shrubs should not be planted between process units, as well as tank groups containing flammable gases, liquefied hydrocarbons, or flammable liquids, and the surrounding fire lanes； Does this mean that installing greenery around process equipment or flammable tank groups is considered non-compliant, and what are the consequences of doing so?
A lawn with green grass is sufficient; it’s best to avoid planting dense shrubs and flowers. Trees, especially those that shed leaves, should definitely not be planted, as their leaves can easily cause fires in autumn and winter
