Our factory has a reciprocating compressor of the M-24/53-27/49-53 type. It stopped operating a couple of days ago, and the cause was not identified; however, it works fine when rotated manually and under no-load conditions. It tripped due to overcurrent after operating under load for 2 days, with a continuous increase in current between 120 and 220 for four minutes. Where should we start checking from? What problems could arise?
Is the 120~220 you mentioned the current? ? ? If the current could really be that high, the values here are only in the dozens. I lean towards the valve issue; could you provide some data? Without any data, it’s hard to know what’s going on

Does the current fluctuate between 120 and 220, or does it increase gradually? The maximum current of the motor can be determined from the compressor’s nameplate, and then it’s necessary to determine whether the current protection setting is too low or if there is some other issue Another thing to check is the compressor’s intake pressure – see if there have been any significant changes in it. Generally, the higher the pressure, the more work the compressor has to do, and accordingly, the higher the current consumption. If everything else seems fine, it’s recommended to take the vehicle apart to check whether there are any issues with the bearings; this is usually the problem at hand, as the motor is under excessive load
Start the engine again, try it with no load and then under load.
