To replace a pump, since the base plate is different, can expansion bolts be used in place of set screws?
There’s nothing wrong with small pumps; as long as they don’t vibrate, we have a pump like that on site.
It depends on the size of your pump. For those with high loads, it’s not possible to use expansion bolts directly; grouting is required to ensure more stable operation of the equipment. You can consult the manufacturer to find out whether the load is high enough and whether it’s feasible to use expansion bolts – safety comes first~
It can be used temporarily, but not for a long time.
For center-opening pumps, 4 bolts are welded around a steel plate to fix it in place, and then foot bolts are welded to the plate to connect it to the base plate
Foundation bolts can be replaced with expansion bolts, provided that the load is low, axis alignment is good, and there is no vibration

Add an iron plate between the new pump and the old foundation. The new pump is bolted to the iron plate, which in turn is fixed to the old foundation. Okay.
