P-proportional I-integral D-differential control
PID consists of three parts: P, I, and D. P (proportional) control is a type of control in which the magnitude of the output is proportional to the magnitude of the input error signal. I (integral) control is a type of control in which the magnitude of the output is proportional to the integral value of the input error signal; its main purpose is to eliminate the residual errors in the system. D (derivative) control is a type of control in which the magnitude of the output is proportional to the derivative value of the input error signal; its main function is to enable the system to return to its original equilibrium state as quickly as possible in the event of interference signals after the system has reached equilibrium
In PID control instruments, P, I, and D stand for proportional, integral, and derivative, respectively.
