Control of purified water

Recently, the parameters of the purified water output have been fluctuating significantly. The levels of sulfides and ammonia nitrogen in the raw water show little variation, and the operation process is stable as well; yet the output water is greatly affected. Are there any other factors that could be causing this?
It depends on the distribution of the discharge volume from the upstream units using your raw water. If there is a large volume of acidic water from catalytic cracking, atmospheric and vacuum distillation, or delayed coking processes, then it’s likely that the purified water will not meet the required standards
What difficult-to-stripped substances are present in the water fed to the aforementioned device, or what substances affect the stripping efficiency?
For example, in the case of acidic water from delayed coking being sent to a stripping unit, although the sulfur and nitrogen content in the incoming water is not high, it is difficult to separate them through stripping; as a result, the sulfur and nitrogen content in the outgoing water increases!
Still not getting to the point – is the reason for difficult stripping the high oil content? Is the magazine expensive? Is an azeotrope formed?
The gums, asphaltenes, and other substances in the oil have ended up in the acidic water! These are things that are hard to strip!
