Do Honeywell, Yokogawa, and Emerson’s DCS systems all have PID self-tuning functionality? Is it generally used, and what’s the effect?
It’s better to tune the PID by yourself. The results will be better.
There are many interference factors in field control systems, and the self-tuning function generally does not work well, especially in complex control systems; in such cases, tuning is usually done manually.
