The Fe ions in acidic water are greater than 3, and the pH is greater than 9, exceeding the standards. The pH value of our neutralizing corrosion inhibitor upon arrival at the factory is 9. Why is the pH of the acidic water higher than 9? Have we used too little or too much of the corrosion inhibitor? How should we make adjustments? I hope friends can explain this to me.
What is your injection volume? Which manufacturer makes the corrosion inhibitor? I’m not sure if there are any issues with your testing; it’s necessary to apply a pre-coating layer at the start of operation before moving on to normal conditions. In other words, an high injection rate is required at first, around 100-120PPm, and after one week of operation, the level can be reduced to 30-50PPm.
This doesn’t seem normal; it might indicate that the quality of your corrosion inhibitor is substandard. You can try using a different type of corrosion inhibitor
