The single-stage compressor after maintenance makes an abnormal noise, a kind of intermittent buzzing sound. It was not present before maintenance, and the same equipment operating simultaneously does not produce such a sound. Possible causes: 1. Mechanical noise resulting from rotor friction; 2. Noise generated by excessive vibration; 3. Intermittent airflow sounds caused by rapid flow of air through the air filter and intake valve; 4. Noise originating from the quality of the bearings themselves. Please help analyze whether any of these causes could lead to abnormal noise in the equipment, and share any similar phenomena you have experienced.
Your maintenance work is also messed up. . . Singing is basically not caused by large vibrations. . .
Use a stethoscope to locate the source of the noise so that appropriate measures can be taken.
Listen mainly to the area where the noise is coming from; if it’s a hissing sound that occurs when adjusting the load, it could be an issue with the compressor’s air intake; If it is operating normally, it might be a bearing issue
It’s not the sound that occurs when adjusting the load; it’s present throughout operation. Once it is turned on normally, it will be available when a load is applied.
Use a measurement tool to detect vibration data at the bearing and the main unit in order to identify the location of the problem; Also, is oil poured into the machine head before turning it on after maintenance?
I also have two reducers here that make a lot of noise, while the other two make little to no sound. The equipment department confirmed that they were usable, but even after more than a year of use, these two reducers still make noise without any problems occurring
To figure out the reason, it’s best to determine which specific device is causing it! ! Check everything from the compressor to its associated motor! ! Only by clearly identifying the source of the problem can we analyze what exactly caused it! ! I also don’t know what the current situation is while your compressor is making noise Are there fluctuations? Is there any change in the current compared to before the maintenance?
The current doesn’t change; there’s only sound
It’s definitely not the sound of a gearbox
