【Fun in Chemical Engineering ★★ Hot New Arrival ★★ Season 2 of [Chemical Process] – “Weird vs. Wonderful” Design Sharing Event】 A large-scale event is being held in a certain region, with many people participating; I’ve read some posts these days. There are some things I need to say. Someone sees a certain situation at a factory; without understanding the context, they label a photo as a \"strange design\" or a \"unique design\". This is inherently imprecise; what you see is the ultimate outcome of design, construction, supervision, and the owner’s preferences. Some of these projects weren’t even designed by qualified professionals, and yet they are all labeled as “design xx”. As a designer, I truly have no words to say. It is indeed a design issue, as proven by the photos. Everyone should learn from this experience; designers should be more careful in the future, and supervisors and owners should correct such problems promptly when they arise ； If it’s really not a design issue, then let’s stop talking about it. Popularity is certainly important, but it’s better to avoid actions that could damage one’s reputation!
I’m not a designer, but I know that not all things that are installed in their final form were designed from the start; they are often modified after problems are identified during production, resulting in differences from the original design, or even being completely different from it. In other words, future designs need to take into account the requirements of actual production.

It’s a reminder to the designers to avoid similar mistakes in the future. Self-sabotage? Will you ruin the reputation with just one sentence? Those who participated in the event included designers as well; who pointed fingers and blamed design for it? Why be so sensitive? If you don’t like it, then don’t participate or watch it – that’s it.
Distinguish between what is bizarre and what is wonderful; be able to tell the difference between good and bad as well. The ordinary things cause a fuss over the slightest thing, and those who use sensational headlines are also crazy. Speaking of which, the general principle is to \"correct mistakes if they exist, and strive to improve if not.\" On my behalf, I would say that if it’s not due to design issues, then there’s no need to give any reminders regarding the design.

Then, at the end of the event when selecting the best ones, just reject them. When initiating an event, enthusiasm is very important; if this doesn’t work and that one isn’t feasible either, how can the event be carried out?
Don’t say that, because this is season 2; as for season 1, I’m not sure if you were involved in it. We are here to discuss issues and offer suggestions; I might have been a bit too harsh in my words, please forgive me. :handshake
Those involved in engineering seem to should be meticulous. Since it’s caused by various reasons, isn’t it better to use a broader term to describe it, rather than limiting it to “design xx”? I really messed up by replying like that.
