What are the reasons for the excessive level of SiO2 ions in steam, and what impacts does this have?
The reasons for the excessive SiO2 content in the steam include improper pretreatment of the feedwater; when the SiO2 content in the boiler water exceeds 3 ppm, the SiO2 content in the steam also becomes excessive； Bubbling in the boiler water, azeotrope formation between steam and water, or steam entrainment, along with a high level of liquid in the drum, can all lead to excessive SiO2 levels. SiO2 carried in the steam will deposit on the check valves, stop valves, superheaters, steam turbine blades, conversion tubes, and catalysts in the steam system, causing damage to the turbine blades or a reduction in turbine output, a decline in heat exchange efficiency, and catalyst clogging.
