Modification of water pump inlet pipe

The inlet pipe of the water pump is too narrow, resulting in the pump not being able to achieve its rated flow rate. How should the inlet pipe be modified without stopping the operation of the other pumps that are connected in parallel?
It would be best to provide a simple diagram to aid understanding. To save time, pre-make the pipes first.
I didn’t understand. Should the pump be there first, and then the water inlet pipe be designed? Otherwise, how could the water pump fail to reach its rated flow rate? Or have other conditions changed? Head? Effective net positive suction head?
For the water pump renovation project, the pipes cannot be modified.
