Cold oil and cold hydrogen in the reactor bed

The desulfurization reactor bed in gasoline hydrogenation units uses cold oil to control the bed temperature. Have any of you fellow engineers also used cold oil for this purpose? What are the advantages over cold hydrogen? Could it easily lead to uneven bed temperature distribution?
Using cold oil to control the reaction temperature provides a better cooling effect than cold hydrogen, mainly due to its high latent heat of vaporization. However, it is difficult to find a source for cold oil; this requires the addition of a high-pressure pump for cold oil, resulting in a longer process and more equipment.
