What is the cause of liquid presence in the dry gas desulfurization tower? 1. Salt formation inside the tower 2. Contaminated amine solution
The reason why liquid accumulates in our desulfurization tower is that the amine solution is too dirty, containing a lot of coke powder!

It has been running continuously for over 3 years since the last major overhaul, and we also experience frequent liquid carryover in our multiple desulfurization towers and amine regeneration towers. Possible causes: Dirty amine solution, foaming of the amine solution, clogged absorption tower, high operating load on the tower, large fluctuations in dry gas flow rate
As a supplementary note, pay attention to oil skimming in the desulfurization tower as well.
Has your dry gas desulfurization tower been cleaned during its commissioning process? How many years does it usually operate before that is needed?
The dry gas desulfurization tower is usually overhauled along with the catalytic unit, i.e., every three years or so. The amine solution here is relatively clean; aside from the high temperature which can cause steam and similar substances to enter the tower, there are no major issues.
