Selection of heat transfer medium for the temperature gauge sleeve in the reaction kettle

Dear experts, we are currently working on a new project that involves many reaction vessels, and there are high requirements for controlling the temperature inside these vessels. So, what type of thermal conductive medium should be used inside the thermometer’s protective sleeve to ensure accurate temperature readings? The length of the thermometer sleeve is around 4 meters, and the temperature remains below 120°C.
Generally, thermal oil is added.
Thermal conductive silicone grease – just a few dollars per box; it’s inexpensive and comes in large quantities. We manufacture thermistor sensors ourselves, and we recommend Huitian HT1101 to our customers (the moderator thought this was advertising, so this sentence was removed)
Silicone oil is generally added; it depends on the measurement accuracy you require – adding silicone oil improves heat transfer and thus leads to more accurate readings. But many units that have silicone oil added on-site leak oil; it’s not possible to detect these leaks regularly, and over time the oil oxidizes and turns black. The precision isn’t high, but the bimetallic material itself is sufficient.
