What is the purpose of a conversion stripping tower? Will carbonates be formed inside?
No, the water vapor has already had its salt removed; it only removes carbon dioxide from acidic water to prevent corrosion caused by carbonic acid
Extract a small amount of gases such as CO, H2S, and CO2 from the condensed liquid, so that the condensed liquid can be reused
No carbonates will form; ammonia salts crystals will form at low temperatures!
It primarily removes gases such as ammonia and nitrogen to prevent the accumulation of these gases in the system when the condensate is returned for vaporization and reuse.
Where did the stripping gas go? ? How was it handled? Did it get burned due to fire protection issues, or was it simply vented?
I would also like to know what happens to the stripping gas; please advise!
Under normal conditions, it is incinerated in a desulfurization recovery furnace; in case of an accident, it is sent to a flare.
Floor 4, Floor 5 is the correct choice. We use a high-altitude torch for combustion, but care must be taken to ensure the temperature isn’t too low, otherwise ammonia crystals will form and block the pipelines
The stripping operation temperature should be around 110°C, while ammonium carbonate crystallizes at temperatures below 65°C; therefore, crystallization cannot occur inside the tower.
