Selection of the gas source for dry gas seals

For the dry gas sealing of pumps or compressors that we use commonly, the gas sources are mostly nitrogen and the process medium itself (such as hydrogen). Nitrogen is usually discharged into the low-pressure gas system, resulting in a high nitrogen content in the gas tank. May I ask if it is possible to use high-pressure gas instead of nitrogen as the gas source? Discharging it into the low-pressure gas system still results in gas. Are there any risks?
The pressure of high-pressure gas is generally around 0.5 MPa; when dry gas seals are used, the pressure is very low, which requires the pump to operate continuously. Moreover, the composition of the gas varies greatly, affecting the operating conditions of the unit
In my opinion, it can be used as long as the pressure is stable, meets the requirements, the gas is clean, and the sulfur content is within acceptable limits.
