Calendering: The material, which is close to its viscous flow temperature, is passed through the gaps between a series of parallel rollers that rotate in opposite directions; this process subjects the material to compression and stretching, resulting in a thin sheet with a certain thickness and width. 2. Specific heat capacity: The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one unit mass of material by 1 degree, in KJ/KG·K. 3. Apparent density: refers to the density of material particles when they contain voids under no external force. 4. Curing speed: This is a characteristic and also the most important property of thermosetting plastics during molding; it represents the rate at which chemical reactions occur during the molding process of thermosetting plastics. 5. Crystallinity: The mass fraction or volume fraction of the crystalline phase in a partially crystallized polymer.

Regarding specific heat capacity: What is the relationship between the specific heat capacity of polymers and their molecular structure as well as molecular weight? Is it true that the lower the molecular weight, the lower the specific heat capacity?
The specific heat capacity of polymers increases as the molecular weight increases, but eventually reaches a limit value.
There are professional instruments for DSC testing; I haven’t done it myself.
