The coal gas pipelines before and after the blower have a large amount of tar deposited in them, and it’s not possible to remove this residue. It has already affected the system resistance. What methods can be used to remove the deposits at the bottom of the pipes without disrupting normal production?
During operation, a small amount of dilute ethanol (10-13%) is continuously injected at the blower inlet for continuous flushing.
The method mentioned above might solve the problem. This issue arises after running for a certain period of time; the tar content in the gas is high. Pay attention to the spraying effect in the gas collection ducts, whether there is excessive blockage in the nozzles, and how effective is the separation of tar from ammonia water I hope to find the root cause.

During the spring maintenance, we perform steam purging of all the gas pipelines in the plant; we focus on those pipelines that are suspected to be blocked, and then open the explosion-proof panels to clean them manually.
