Is it that amine solution preparation and recovery tank that retracts underground? For this, what is the typical circulation volume of amine solution required for tanks of what size? Most of it is first returned directly to the amine liquid circulation tank; only that which cannot be returned enters the underground amine liquid preparation tank.

For short stops, there is no need to withdraw the material; for long stops during maintenance: 1. In coking and hydrogenation units, catalyst systems usually have buffer tanks, which can store a portion of the material. 2. This facility has buffer tanks as well as underground solvent recovery tanks, so there’s no need to worry about contamination. Before resuming operation, the system will be heated and circulated for 8 hours, and it will be connected to other units once the system becomes stable. The solvent doesn’t cause any problems. Once the device stabilizes, the resulting lean liquid is sent directly to an external device for further circulation.

I’m sorry, I’m not really familiar with this. I’ve been working as an operator for 8 years~~ I don’t know much about design aspects, but the amine solution is MDEA. . The scientific name is nitromethyldiethanolamine; you can search for that, it might be helpful
MDEA is indeed propylene oxide, but as you mentioned earlier, there’s a possibility that the rich amine solution could also be introduced into the system; in that case, the H2S content in that rich amine solution needs to be taken into consideration. It seems necessary to upgrade the material grade and other related specifications of the tank used for storing the lean amine solution. .
