The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis off-gases contain organic acids, but their concentration is uncertain. What material is suitable for selecting pipeline equipment? Is carbon steel acceptable? Does anyone with experience know what material is used in operating such installations?
In the system pipelines following the F-T synthesis, stainless steel is used, or composite pipes with a stainless steel inner layer are employed, especially for the water lines, oil lines, and wax lines
