In vacuum distillation, solid material is observed rising from the sight glass at the bottom of the distillation column packing layer. What could be the cause of this, and is it related to the vacuum level?
Can vacuum pressure counteract gravity? Hehe. It must have been carried up by the internal upward flow. The carrying-out speed is greater than the settling speed.
