How long does a gas filter cartridge last? Are there clear standards?
There are specific methods for determining usage time: 1. Weighing method, 2. Smelling method (not recommended), 3. Sound test by shaking it, 4. Other methods – I can’t remember them. I recall that there are five such methods, and the general validity period is five years; it’s the same for products from the Tang dynasty, as long as they remain unopened
The generally allowed total usage time is 60 minutes.
During emergency use, it becomes unusable after just a dozen minutes; under normal use, it takes a few minutes per use, and it generally needs to be replaced every 15 days.
The shelf life of a gas filter box is generally 5 years, but it can be replaced after 3 years; once it becomes damp, it loses its effectiveness.

You can tell by looking at the production time, but once the gas filter cartridge is opened, it basically has to be replaced with a new one. Many gas filter cartridges in China are replaceable, whereas those used abroad are designed to be discarded after use.
When not in use, it’s good to seal the air leakage; I know that there is a method for weighing, but I haven’t paid attention to exactly how much weight has been added – at that point it should be discarded.
