What are the reasons for high bearing temperatures in centrifugal pumps? What factors affect the normal bearing temperature of such pumps, and what is the normal value? Could someone help resolve this issue?

Reasons for high bearing temperatures in centrifugal pumps: What factors influence the normal bearing temperature of a centrifugal pump, and what is the normal value? Could someone help resolve this issue? Under normal operating conditions, the bearing temperature is influenced by the lubrication method, the quality of the lubricating oil, the cooling water, and the operating conditions of the pump. If the bearing temperature rises abnormally, it may be due to bearing wear, problems with the rotor, or vibration issues. In the case of oil mist lubrication, it could be caused by a clogged nozzle, or problems with the oil mist pressure and concentration. As a general guideline, we aim to keep the bearing temperature below 70 degrees, and the bearing shell temperature below 75 degrees, so as to leave some margin for handling any issues and avoiding significant damage! We specify that the bearing temperature should be below 70°C; generally, the temperature doesn’t get very high. If it exceeds 50°C, it’s likely time to replace the bearing.
