I am learning about the *reforming process, and I have a small question: why is there a compressor in this process, and what is its function? I have done alkylation before; that process requires a low reaction temperature, necessitates the use of a coolant, and involves a compressor. Is the same true for restructuring? Solve.
Reformation is a hydrogen-based process that requires hydrogen as the reaction medium; hydrogen must be pressurized using a compressor to a certain level before it can be introduced into the reaction system, while maintaining a constant hydrogen pressure.
