So how should such a jacketed tube be classified as a pressure pipeline? Should the media in the jacket and the inner tube be considered separately, or together? And if the pressure pipeline classifications for the jacket and the inner tube are different, how should the pressure pipeline classification for this entire jacketed tube be determined? And when it comes to installation inspection and registration, should the lengths of pressure pipelines be counted separately or together?
It should be considered separately; the pressure ratings for internal and external pipes may differ. Taking the sulfur plant as an example, the pipes for liquid sulfur are made of one type of material, while the pipes insulated with heating steam are of another pressure rating. This must be considered separately.
That is, the jacket and the inner tube each define the pressure pipeline based on their own operational and design conditions; when submitting a inspection application, if both the inner tube and the jacket are considered pressure pipelines, then both need to be reported for inspection (the length of the pressure pipeline becomes twice the actual value), while if one of them is not considered a pressure pipeline, it does not need to be reported for inspection?
Same question: does anyone who knows the answer know how to clear up this doubt?
