I would like to ask everyone about the compensation in the chemical engineering design industry – how does it compare to that in chemical companies? Into how many components is the salary for chemical engineering design divided, and how is it paid out? Thank you
It’s pitifully little; although there are several components: salary, bonuses, and allowances. When there are no projects, one has to endure hardship :(
With the economic downturn, there are fewer and fewer projects, and coupled with fierce competition, the prospects for the design industry are bleak
So, should those in sales who work with design firms start considering this?
In many design firms, the basic salary is just a little over 2,000. When the industry is booming, there are many projects to work on overtime, and bonuses can reach over 100,000 or even 200,000. But when the industry is in a downturn and there are few projects available, well, you know what happens
A few years ago, the situation in the chemical and coal chemical industries was good, and the compensation in the field of chemical engineering design was generally satisfactory. However, since the second half of last year, the trend has been downward, and it is estimated that the situation will be even worse next year. The salary at chemical engineering design institutes generally consists of: basic salary + performance-based salary + project bonuses.
This year has been really dismal~~~~~~~
