Has anyone done welding on SAF2507 pipes? It is best to have GC2 qualifications.
Saf2507 is a duplex stainless steel; it is a Swedish-developed duplex stainless steel that is widely used. The SAF2507 (UNS S32750) alloy is composed of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. It has high strength and corrosion resistance, and is mainly used in chemical processing, petrochemical industries, and underwater equipment. It has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Its high contents of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen grant it excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and general corrosion. SAF2507 alloy is a super duplex stainless steel composed of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. It has high strength and corrosion resistance, and is mainly used in chemical processing, petrochemical industries, and underwater equipment. It has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Its high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel confer it excellent resistance to pitting, cracking, and general corrosion. It also has high impact strength. The SAF2507 alloy is not suitable for use in environments with temperatures above 570°F; exposure to such conditions over an extended period of time will reduce its toughness. Features: 1.
