Experts, how do you warm up high-pressure shield pumps used in diesel liquid-phase cyclic hydrogenation? Are there any special requirements? It would be best to have visuals to back it up.

We start the shielded pumps at 100 degrees. Before starting them, it’s actually not possible to warm them up using the pump heating circuit, as neither pump is running and there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet. We generally use the pump discharge line to send oil to the sludge oil system in order to warm up the pump slowly.
