Hello everyone, I’m a newcomer who has just graduated. I am currently learning about the preparation of *Belfa alumina. I have a question: in the section where the recycled mother liquor is evaporated, what are the components contained in that recycled mother liquor? I’ve thought about it on my own; it might be AL(OH)3, NaOH, NAAL(OH)4, along with some impurities such as silicates, sulfates, and certain organic substances. I’m not sure if my list is complete – I hope fellow sailors can help
The main components of the seed mother liquor are alkalis, including carbonates, sodium hydroxides, alumina, etc., as well as impurities such as suspended particles
Professionally speaking, the mother liquor contains aluminum oxide, caustic alkali, carbonates, a small amount of silicon dioxide, as well as suspended particles
In fact, the main component is sodium hydroxide, with smaller amounts of other components. When it comes to evaporation, the focus is mainly on the process and the scaling-causing components in the mother liquor; the other components are not very significant.
