What are the technical challenges in modifying an air cooler by only changing the tube box while leaving the tube bundle unchanged?

This post was last edited by bddxt on 2015-11-25 at 11:38. Seeking advice: The air cooler needs to be modified, only the tube bank is to be changed while the tube bundle remains unchanged. Are there any things to keep in mind? Note: The tube box is a plug-type tube box, with a forced-air horizontal tube bundle and bimetallic rolled finned tubes.
What is the purpose of the renovation? How are you planning to make the changes?

The problem isn’t too serious, but there are still some issues: 1, the length of the tube bundle; 2, the service life of the tubes; 3, whether the tube box needs to be extended. There is no significant technical difficulty; the main thing is to inform the manufacturer of the design pressure, temperature, and flange specifications of the air cooler, as well as its height. It is advisable to send them the original layout diagram of the air cooler along with the overall diagram of the tube bundle, to avoid problems during installation on site
The tube bundle is the main part. Just change the pipe box, as mentioned above.
Unless the heat exchange area is increased, there is no need for major changes.
