Everyone, our plant uses MDEA for decarburization. Why does the lean liquid pump sometimes fail to start and cannot build pressure?
The pump inlet is blocked, or air gets into the pump inlet during a power outage
There could be two possible causes of the blockage: a sealing issue.
No pressure means no fluid leakage. It could be a blockage, air (gas) present, a seal leak,-----------------
Clogged pump inlet, gas in the pump, faulty outlet pressure gauge, etc
Turn on the drain valve and start the filling pump; listen to the sound of the pump to see if there is a sound indicating that liquid is flowing in

First, check the assembly and condition of the pump body; second, check whether the pipelines are unobstructed, and fluid can be poured in to detect leaks.
If this continues, it’s possible that the guide vanes or impeller have been damaged, or there might be a leak in the seal, resulting in fluid leakage. If it happens occasionally, check whether gas has entered Exit exhaust gas.

First, look for reasons related to the process – is the static head of the pump sufficient? Another example is whether it’s a common case of gas entrapment ; If it occurs more than once, what is the pattern for each occurrence? What time or what process conditions
