Thermostatic valve pressure difference

I would like to ask fellow sailors: the pressure at the inlet of the steam trap is 9 kilograms, while the pressure at the outlet is 4 kilograms, as calculated based on the pressure difference in the system downstream of the valve and the pipeline resistance. So what causes the 5-kilogram pressure difference across the steam trap? Is it due to the internal structure of the valve or some other factor? Please advise
A leaking check valve, a leaking bypass, and rising pipeline elevation can all lead to an increase in back pressure.
