There is a balance pipe between the inlet and outlet pipelines of the catalytic main fan, with a pressure gauge installed on it. I would like to ask what function this balance pipe serves, what is an appropriate pressure difference, and what effects does a high or low pressure difference have on the unit? ?
Is it adjusting the back pressure at the main air outlet?
Are there balance pipes at the inlet and outlet of the main fan? It can’t be a balance tube, right? An inlet and outlet crossover wire? Balance pipes are generally used to balance the pressure difference before and after the impeller, thereby reducing axial forces! The two sections of the balance pipe shouldn’t be connected to the inlet and outlet pipelines! Is it the case that the leakage at the shaft end seal of the main fan does not escape outside, but instead enters the inlet pipeline?
It should be similar to the pipeline for returning flow, but it should have control valves; is it adjusted manually where you are? If so, it is mainly used to prevent the engine from surging!
Thick pipeline or thin pipeline? Inside or outside the inlet and outlet valves? What is the amount of control? Different locations, different functions; it’s possible that it’s used to adjust the pressure difference at the inlet and outlet
If it is a balance tube, what is an appropriate value for the pressure difference? What impact does a high or low pressure difference have on the unit? What phenomena will occur? ?
Whether it is a axial-flow or centrifugal unit, they both have balance pipes, but the details differ
We are centrifugal main fans; it should be a balance pipe. I would like to know what pressure difference is appropriate for control, and also under what circumstances does oil leak from the upper vent?

Are you referring to the seal at the high-pressure end being connected to the inlet of the low-pressure end, or is it connected at the seals on both ends? What I’m talking about is something that is common in catalytic pressure reactors. As for the main fans, I’ve only worked with axial flow fans. I think the pressure difference in the balance pipes of your unit depends on the size of the sealing gap; its purpose is to balance the axial forces, and a smaller pressure difference is better
Ours is an axial-flow main fan, with a balance line at the outlet that is used primarily to balance the axial force on the impeller; visually, it appears as just a pipe without any valves
