Night shifts, suffering – many times I’ve wondered why, among all the majors available in college, I chose chemical engineering. Not to mention the high temperatures and pressures in chemical processing facilities, as well as various toxic and harmful gases; just the night shifts alone are enough to drive me crazy
Once you’ve made the choice, just focus on doing your job well; there will be opportunities to change jobs later.
The university only issues you a degree certificate; the job you get after graduation does not have to be related to the field you studied at university.
Many companies require employees to work night shifts, after all, the machinery needs to keep running. But it’s indeed tough on the body; maybe one should switch to a job that doesn’t involve night shifts

Five years after graduation, it doesn’t really matter what major one had, especially once they move away from technical roles
There are also many day-shift positions in chemical companies, and one needs to work hard to secure them.
If you can’t change your position, change yourself
